Perennial BED WITH FORMAL EDGE
When we start a perennial flower bed, we lay down a piece of commercial grade weed fabric on the soil. Mark an `x' on the areas we would like to plant flowers, cut fabric in the `x' and plant your flowers.
You may decide to cover weed fabric with mulch for aesthetic purposes. For balance, we plant flowers from front to back from the lowest to the highest growers. Using a mulch on existing perennials to keep weeds down to a minimum. To help the plants "get established" into the soil, we apply a starter fertilizer. Most plants usually take about two weeks to "get established".
We own our equipment and we meet our deadlines. We don't rely on contractors or rent or borrow equipment from other companies. This is a representative sample of one of our projects.

PERENNIALS
Tell us your favorite colors and we'll do the rest. There are many varieties and colors available for New York conditions. We will select the best plants for your conditions and supply and plant them for you. All you have to do is water them and watch their colors shine.
The first step in planning a Perennial garden is understanding the needs and abilities of the gardeners. The garden area should be as small as possible to adequately meet these needs. As the garden size increases, the fun of gardening tends to change to drudgery. All of the raised beds or planters should be easily accessible and arranged in a fashion to fit together as an attractive landscape unit. Avoid the tendency to line up little garden plots in rows resembling grave yards. Trees and shrubs can be used to enclose one or more sides of the raised garden site, providing both privacy and a pleasing backdrop, but avoid shading the garden with excessive plantings. .
